Installation at St Paul's Church, Hong Kong
The old organ case at St Paul's Church, Hong Kong, with a new Mpos pipe organ inside

The parish church of St Paul's in Hong Kong used to have a pipe organ, but it was damaged during the second World War. Unable to have the instrument restored the church had much of the old organ removed and have since had a series of electronic organs installed in its place. The only parts remaining of the pipe organ were the front pipes and the casework, with the lower half of the casework turned in to a music library.

Mpos was asked if it was possible have a pipe module connected to the current Rodgers digital organ, fit the module in to the remaining space behind the case and to make the front pipes speak again. With a carefully designed blower and windchest system Mpos was able to meet all these requirements, giving St Paul's 11 ranks of speaking pipes, including the original Open Diapason and Bourdon pipes.

On Sunday 10th December 2006 the organ was blessed during a packed commemoration service by the Primate of Hong Kong and the congregation heard pipes speak that had last been heard 50 years ago. We were all glad to be able to breathe life back in to this instrument.
