Installation at All Hallows Church, Gospel Oak

During the summer of 2006 the Mpos2 module was installed in the grand church of All Hallows in Gospel Oak, near London's Hampstead Heath. The fine acoustic properties of the building (with a clear resonance that can last over 4 seconds) showed off the completeness of the integration between the Mpos pipe module and the Rodgers digital organ.
Two demonstration recitals were held in front of a select audience. The first given by Paul Hale included a fine performance of Karg-Elert's Homage to Handel that as well as being an entertaining piece (with a demanding pedal part) also made use of the full range of musical registrations available on the organ.
The second recital was given by Robert Munns and included pieces for musical clocks that required some very interesting registrations from the organ (such as solo 4' flutes). Robert's performance of another piece, Crom Lake (Harriet Petherick Bushman), captured the mood and mystery of this historic Celtic setting.
These recitals garnered praise from those present where the feeling seemed to be that here was a valid single musical instrument, rather than two separate instruments that happened to be playing at the same time. All together it was a very successful public introduction to the Mpos/Rodgers combination organ.

After these concerts then the organ was moved on to Ware Parish Church in time for their Christmas services...
